BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT
OUR MOBILITIES AND TRAININGS
We held our first mobility with all our partners in the city of Lleida, Spain, between 05-09.06.2023, within the scope of the Erasmus project numbered 2022-1-TR01- KA-210-ADU – 000084308, titled “Recycling Step by Step, If the Future is What You Walk”.
We made our second mobility to Finland/Helsinki between 04-08.09.2023.
Our third mobility was held in Türkiye/Denizli between 15-19.04.2024.
Our last mobility was to Italy/Amelia city between 0-07.06.2024.
Introductory training and activities are included in all our activities for the dissemination and sustainability of our Project. In Spain; Informative meetings and trainings on Recycling and Zero Waste were held, and an on-site inspection was made by visiting the recycling facility.
In the same way, informational meetings about our project were held in Finland, and bags, dresses, etc. were made from waste fabrics. The activities were shown in practice, the building called RESQ, which was converted from an old hospital into offices, was visited and our meeting was held here as well.
In Türkiye mobility; Introductory training and activities were included for the dissemination and sustainability of our project. Regarding recycling; A recycling library and exhibition was prepared. Bags and pecbörg were made from old unused jeans and leftover fabric pieces, paintings were made on unused case parts, ornaments were made from pine cones, vases were made from jars, and these products were exhibited in our Center. The activities of making amulets with the top seed and making ornaments from leftover glass pieces were practiced in the workshop.
During our Italy mobility between 3-7 June 2024; We met with our partners Spain, Finland and Italy in the charming city of Amelia. This meeting was a big step for our projects on recycling and zero waste. These events, which we organized to find solutions to global problems such as climate change and environmental pollution, offered the opportunity to both exchange information and share our cultural riches.
On the first day, before exploring the historical texture of Amelia, we organized recycling workshops. In these workshops, we learned how to create new products from recyclable materials. Participants experienced making artistic and useful products from waste materials. This event was both creative and educational.
On the second day, we organized seminars on zero waste principles. Experts from Spain gave detailed information on how to adopt a zero waste lifestyle. Participants from Finland talked about the zero waste practices in their own country. Thanks to these seminars, we gained many ideas to see how each country is taking steps in this regard and to adapt them to our own projects.
On the third day, we took a trip to the local recycling facility in Amelia. This trip allowed us to see the recycling process closely. Facility officials explained how waste is separated and reused. This experience provided invaluable information for our projects.
In addition to the events, we also had the opportunity to discover the historical and cultural riches of Amelia. Medieval buildings, narrow streets and wonderful Italian cuisine made our travel program even more colorful. In addition, we strengthened the bonds of friendship between countries at social events held in the evenings.
This meeting enabled us to take important steps for our projects and strengthened our international cooperation. We will continue to work for a more sustainable future by bringing the new knowledge we have learned about recycling and zero waste to our own countries. We look forward to sharing our progress and results at our next meeting.
These full days we spent in Amelia were an unforgettable experience for us both professionally and personally. Such international projects offer a great opportunity to raise environmental awareness around the world and produce joint solutions. Together, we will continue to work for a cleaner and more livable world.
In order to disseminate, sustain and promote our project in all our activities; News was made on social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), the institution’s website, local press and Epale. Promotional meetings were held, surveys were organized and diaries were created. An Erasmus Corner has been created at the entrance of our institution. For promotion, participation was made in the #ERASMUSTAYS days events held between 14-19 October 2024.
